Ezi System Cable & Pipe Detection

EziCat 100 Cable Avoidance Tool

It detects alternating (AC) electromagnetic signals radiated due to currents flowing in conductive buried services.

The operator is given the location and direction of the underground service when the unit receives reradiated radio frequencies through internal aerials, which detect the strength and direction of the received signals.

There are several vital safety features are built into the EziCAT 100 rarely found in other cable avoidance tools.

  • Always switches on in POWER mode for maximum safety
  • Starts with maximum sensitivity for safe operation
  • Fully automatic pinpointing for quick and accurate location of the relevant service without the need for any awkward adjustment by the operator
  • Pictographic quick-guide instructions are displayed on the side of the locator for easy on-site reference
  • In-built, user activated, self-test function, which tests both the hardware and software to ensure full functionality of the unit
  • Audio visual display with simple LED indicators for maximum convenience
  • Perfectly balanced on / off trigger
  • Robust, compact and lightweight case
  • 8 and 33 kHz tracing modes for on-site flexibility
  • Low battery warning indication
  • Operates with a wide range of signal generators
  • Dust and water protection to IP 54

EziCat 200 Cable Avoidance Tool

The EziCAT 200 unit is used for the avoidance and location of cables and pipes buried in the ground with the added benefit of depth estimation in cooperation with the EziTRACE or the Sonde in 33kHz mode.

Like the EziCAT 100, the EziCAT 200 unit detects alternating (AC) electromagnetic signals radiated due to currents flowing in conductive buried services. The operator is given the location and direction of the underground service when the unit receives reradiated radio frequencies through internal aerials, which detect the strength and direction of the received signals.

Several vital safety features are built into the EziCAT 200.

  • Always switches on in POWER mode for maximum safety -
  • Starts with maximum sensitivity for safe operation
  • Fully automatic pinpointing for quick and accurate location of the relevant service without the need for any awkward adjustment by the operator
  • In-built, user activated, self-test function, which tests both the hardware and software to ensure full functionality of the unit
  • Perfectly balanced on / off trigger
  • Robust, compact and lightweight case
  • Measure Line and Sonde depth to 3 metres
  • Pictographic quick-guide instructions are displayed on the side of the locator for easy on-site reference
  • Audio visual display with simple LED indicators for maximum convenience
  • accuracy of approx. ± 10% when using cable depth (measurements to the centre of the pipe or cable detected)
  • 8 and 33 kHz tracing modes for on-site flexibility
  • Low battery warning indication
  • Adaptive Meter scale and audio response
  • Digital microprocessor control
  • Operates with an EziTRACE signal generator
  • Network Rail approved (Certificat No: PA05/02031)

EziTrace 8/33 Signal Generator

The EziTRACE generates a specific "active" signal that can then be traced using the EziCAT 100.

  • Choice of frequencies for maximum site flexibility

  • Induction and connection output modes

  • Rugged sealed case for durability

  • Operates with a wide range of location equipment

  • Supplied with crocodile connection cable set and earth spike, six AA batteries, user manual and certificate of conformity

  • Variable output level

  • Battery and output level indicators

  • Automatic mode selection (connection / induction)

  • Digital microprocessor control

  • Compatible with all EziSYSTEM accessories

  • Network Rail approved  (PADS No: 094/020052)

Buy an EziTrace Signal Generator with the EziCat 100 or 200 and SAVE £30.00

EziRod - 30m Trace

The EziROD is connected to the EziTRACE and inserted and pushed along the service under investigation. Using the EziCAT to locate it on the surface, you can trace pipes which do not produce their own current and which you are unable to induce a signal into.

Buy a Sonde with the EziRod and SAVE £20.00

Sonde 40mm

The EziSYSTEM Sonde is a small battery powered transmitter, which can be connected to a simple drain rod system. The signals are used to indicate the position when inserted into an underground service such as a drain, duct, pipe or sewer. It can also be attached to other moving objects such as boring tools or cameras.
