Glass Meters

Laser Gauge

This remarkably simple but effective precision measurement instrument allows accurate measurement of glass and air-gap thickness in single, double and triple glazed units. Simply place the tool onto the corner of the unit and a precise measurement for each piece of glass and the air-cavity will be shown on the calibrated scale.

No access is required to the property and all readings can be taken from one side without the need to remove even a single piece of glass. It will also measure and identify laminated glass in situ making it the ideal tool for anyone involved in the risk assessment of glass in buildings. The Lazer Gauge allows instant appraisal of all site work, shop fronts, office blocks or indeed any situation where glazing is involved – without the need to remove even a single piece of glass.

The Lazer Gauge comes complete with batteries and a high quality protective case.

Low E Coating Detector

Low-E glass is a vital component of energy efficient windows. It has a virtually invisible coating which the tool is designed to detect. The Low-E Coating Detector is a duel purpose tester designed to detect Pilkington K-Glass and all other Low-Emissivity coatings on single and double glazed units and indicate on which surface it is present.

Simply place the tool onto the glass to be tested, if the tool detects the presence of a coating on the piece of glass an audible tone will be heard and the green indicator light will be illuminated. If the tool does not detect the presence of a low-e coating on the piece of glass that it is touching no audible tone will be emitted and the red indicator light will be illuminated. If this happens simply repeat this procedure on the opposite side of the unit

In this way installers and inspectors can verify the presence of the coating and the correct orientation of the unit.

Toughened Glass Detector

The pocket sized TGI (toughened glass indicator) is an ideal solution to the age old problem of verifying whether glass has been toughened or not.

The TGI changes all that. It is compact lightweight, reliable and affordable and it is able to indicate whether glass is toughened in single or multipane units, instantly at the touch of a button.

The TGI could hardly be easier to use, simply place it on the glass to be tested then slide it across the surface while looking into the viewing window. The colour of the light reflected back from the glass surfaces will indicate instantly whether or not the glass has been toughened.

The TGi compliments the Lazer Gauge and when used together offer the most comprehensive safety risk assessment kit available for any professional involved in the testing and measurement of glass.

There are no batteries to worry about either, as the TGI is powered by rechargeable NiMH cells and comes with its own quality protective pouch and battery charger.

DIG-Tester For Insulated Glass

This detector has 2 positions: place the tester on a glass and push the button:

a)"present" position: if the red led lights up and the buzzer sounds,
a low-E coating is present on that pane (lite) of the glass.

b)"contact" position : if the red led lights up and the buzzer sounds
you know that the coating is on the surface the detector is touching
