TOM KAT-2 Locator
The TOMKAT 2 Cable and
Pipe Locator is a full function industry standard
pipe and
cable locator designed and manufactured by PACT.
Better in design, the TOMKAT 2 is rugged,
lightweight and packed full of features including
a detachable speaker that can be held close to the
ear for use in noisy environments.Fingertip controls allow for adjustment to the
sensitivity control and enabled rapid switching
between the TOMKATS three operating modes.
The TOMKAT 2 is used to assist in the location of
buried pipes and cables to a depth of 3 meters
and offers three modes of location.

POWER MODE
Locates live cables radiating a detachable signal.

SIGEN-2 Signal Generator
The SIGEN 2 works in
conjunction with the TOMKAT 2 locator.
There are two ways in which the SIGEN 2 operates the
first is by applying a signal by
induction, the second is by direct connection.
To locate buried
services the Sigen 2 signal generator is by far the
best tool for the job.
We recommend the use of the Sigen 2 in conjunction
with the Tomkat 2 Cable Locator
and Pipe Locator.
Induction mode:-
To use in Induction mode, simply stand the Sigen 2
on the ground and turn the orange
mode selector to the induction position.
Direct Connection:-
To operate the Sigen 2 in Direct Connection mode,
simply connect the Sigen 2 to the service you wish
to trace using the appropriate connection leads,
select the connection mode on the Sigen 2, select
the generator mode on the TOMCAT and trace the
service.
It is advisable to always use "Connection Mode"
whenever possible as this is by far the best way to
trace and identify buried conductors.

100m/m Signal Clamp
The Signal Clamp allows
the operator to apply a signal directly and safely to an
insulted conductor ensuring a good contact without
removing the insulation.
The
Signal Clamp is a device which is very much part of the
Pact Services cable and pipe locator range.
Using a Signal Clamp
aids the operator in the detection and thus avoidance of
hidden service cables by applying a distinct signal to
the designated service, which could be a streetlight or
any other object used to carry an insulated cable, this
device lets the operator single out the service cable,
which needs to be traced.
Features

light and other insulated cables.
• Can be adapted to use with other makes of Signal
Generator.
To operate the Signal Clamp simply plug
the black plug end in to the socket on the Sigen 2
signal generator, the operator then places the jaws of
the Clamp around the service to be traced ensuring the
clamp is fully closed.

Non-Directional Sonde
Used in conjunction with the
TOMKAT 2 to trace non-metallic pipes and ducts.
The 33kHz Sonde is a self-contained waterproof
transmitter, which is attached to
drain rods or any movable device that can be propelled
inside non-metallic pipes.
Used correctly you can pinpoint the exact route of the
pipe and were a blockage is.
